A bronze mobile or hanging sculpture, the shadows created by this work form an integral part of the finished piece.

The modelled lines invoke hand drawn marks and play with the contrast between quick sketches and the long, multi-layered processes inherent to working with bronze. Constructed from wax, wood and reeds, the work has been cast ‘directly’ using an adaptation of the Italian or Renaissance Lost Wax process to create a unique design.

This piece can be hung with a wire and secured to a bronze bracket (supplied). The bracket will require two screws to secure. Additional bronze elements can be supplied, if required, to extend the drop of the work.

Due to Alice’s process each edition will be have its own unique variations.

The bronze patina of this sculpture will be affected by the elements, we encourage you to enjoy this beautiful natural process –  it won’t affect the structural integrity of the piece. Periodic re-application of black wax will help protect the surface as will the occasional ‘buff’ with a dry cotton cloth.
