Blooming Bench
Tom Hatfield
A charming and inherently modern garden seat crafted from durable iroko timber and paired with a frost-resistant terracotta planter. Its thoughtful design includes a subtle one-degree angle, allowing rainwater to drain naturally through a central groove, keeping your plants naturally hydrated.
“A harmonious fusion of nature and comfort, it creates a peaceful retreat for quiet moments or simple, everyday enjoyment” says designer Tom. “The inspiration behind the Blooming Bench is to blend nature and functionality, providing a tranquil space for people to unwind and connect with their surroundings. Considering the calming effects of gardens and the beauty of natural materials, it’s designed to enhance outdoor living.”
The Blooming Bench is expertly handcrafted with joinery designed to adapt to seasonal changes, ensuring both durability and year-round comfort. Produced in a well-established workshop in Dorset, it is made from responsibly sourced FSC-certified timber by a local team of skilled woodworkers.
The terracotta planter is made in Britain and fired at temperatures exceeding 1050°C for up to five days, creating an exceptionally strong blue core within the pot. This process makes the planter fully frost proof and highly durable.
The Blooming Bench can be left outside all year round. Bespoke options available, please enquire.
