Garden Designer
Tabi is a garden designer, writer and founder of Them Outdoors. A key focus of her design practice is on collaboration; be it with other planting designers, interior designers, architects, or artists and craftspeople. Tabi has commissioned various pieces for Them Outdoors, working closely with artists to provide loose briefs and creative direction. She also co-designed the Cleft Oak Planters with carpenter and forester Jack Ritson.
As a garden designer, a client-led approach finds Tabi working in a variety of different settings from historic houses and art galleries to architect-led new builds, Miyawaki forests and nature-filled family gardens. The thread that runs through these designs is one which quietly rejoices in the changing faces of a garden throughout the year and across the decades. Tabi’s design work has won awards at both RHS Chelsea Flower Show and Hampton Court, as well as with the Society of Garden Designers.
Tabi regularly reflects on and explores her practice through writing, as a frequent contributor to the Financial Times and House and Garden.
